Post Graduate Academic Options

Most Colleges fully recognize the value of students enrolling after a post grad experience. Coaches appreciate that athletes from post grad programs enroll with four full years of eligibility remaining (which is not the case after competing at the junior college level). Parents rest assured knowing that the post grad experience will help their sons and daughters acclimate to college so much better. These combined elements lay a strong foundation for ensuring long-term collegiate success.

At TLAP Sports Academy Post-Grad Institution, we offer the following academic options for Post Grad students:

Earn College Credit: Earn college credit by taking two core classes per semester at Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach Campus. These classes will transfer to college and will not affect elibility for incoming freshmen.

Enhance your High School GPA: TLAP Sports Academy PGI students will have the opportunity to continue to build their college application resume via course work.

Repair your High School GPA: High School graduates have the opportunity to retake one high school core class to repair their GPA and satisfy NCAA initial eligibility requirements.

SAT/ACT Test Prep Courses: TLAP Sports Academy PGI students will have the opportunity to improve performance on standard tests - highly visible measurements of both schools and students.

Take ESL programs and TOEFL prep courses: If English is not your first language, ESL and TOEFL tutoring will be available.

Please note: All Post-Grad(s) will need a copy of their high school transcript prior to your enrollment meeting with TLAP Sports Academy PGI staff. If you have any learning disabilities such as (IEPs) or (504) please have your accommodations information available at the time of your enrollment meeting.

TLAP Sports Academy PGI provides a number of academic options to meet each student athlete’s individual needs for college preparation and NCAA eligibility.  Based on those needs, TLAP Sports Academy PGI will develop an Individual Educational Plan (IEP), which will serve as a blueprint to encourage players to meet their academic goals.  TLAP Sports Academy PGI staff will perform weekly individual Academic meetings with each player, allowing staff to effectively monitor their progress. Our Post Grad program is the perfect opportunity for the student athlete who has finished high school or trying to complete high school. Our academic program allows students, that have completed high school take 1 core High School course to pull up their GPA, and two college classes each semester for a total of 12 credits for the year. In addition, we hold classes for SAT, ACT, and TOEFL preparation to help the student athlete take their game to the next level.

College Placement

TLAP Sports Academy PGI, our goal is market and promote our players & create as many opportunities as possible to play in college. Our coaching staff has a wealth of college coach’s contacts and connections that will successfully assist them to move players to the collegiate level. At TLAP Sports Academy PGI, our primary goal is finding the correct fit for each individual player.

The criteria for the correct fit varies for each player depending on skill level, academic interest, school size/location and coaching staff.  After consultation with each individual player and their family, TLAP Sports Academy PGI will formulate a “recruitment plan” that will navigate the player through the entire recruiting process.

Player exposure is paramount to the successful recruitment of student athletes.  TLAP Sports Academy PGI players will play 25+ game schedule–competing against some of the best , Prep Schools and 4 years schools in the state of Florida and the country.  Our competitive schedule will allow our players to be evaluated by over 150+ college coaches from NCAA Division I-III, NAIA, JUCO and USCAA level schools.  Further, TLAP Sports Academy PGI game film will be used to promote and market student athletes to prospective colleges.
